Camping with an Anatolian

TARIK GOES CAMPING would also be a great description. Looks like we are all set up and good to camp, doesn't it?! I skipped the part about the 4 hour car ride and what came out of both ends of Tarik to slip and slide in! I also skipped the part about how many times we stopped to completely take apart the kennel to clean it!
So . . . Tarik begins peacefully chewing his bone and watching the road and the campers and their dogs.
Next to watching, his favorite thing was sniffing all the wonderful smells that don't exist in the goat pasture at home!
Oops, chewing water socks isn't okay. Who wears the shoes in this family anyway?! Posted by Picasa

Tarik looks like he had a great time camping. He sure has grown a lot. Marlene

Wow, what an awesome adventure. I laughed about the picnic table chewing. We had one where the dogs chewed all the benches off, eep! But it did take them a few seasons. We're now using metal furnishings for dog accessible outdoor areas!

And peeking at the running water with his head between Jim's legs! LOLLLLLLLLL!!! I remember those kind of adventures too. Not at water, but like the first time one of mine saw a pig, stuff like that. "It really is safer to have mommy's legs protect you"

And yep, all those people looking at your widdle guy and saying, "You mean he's still a puppy?!" LOLLLLLL, It's good PR and education for all. I'll bet he probably sleeps for days, now that he's home, things are normal and he can relax. :)

The dog in these pics is adorable. I have a small pup, a Lhasa apso. Just got him last year. It's great having a pup.
