She is the heavyweight champ & gained the most this 1st week!
Not sure why my son gave a female a blue collar!  Lol.
 Pink collar female (above)
At birth:  12.9 oz
At exactly 1 week old:  24.4 oz
Total weight gain in 1 week:  11.5 oz
She is a small pup but gaining nicely and very active & healthy since birth!  Pat Hastings says that birth size is no indication of adult size! She says there are no runts, that some puppies grow squished between other pups or at the end of the uterine horn, which is why the smallest puppies can become the largest pups in the litter.
She is the only female puppy with double rear dew claws.  All the rest of the females have no dew claws.
White collar female (above)
At birth:  20.9 oz
At exactly 1 week old:  41.8 oz
Total weight gain in 1 week:  20.9 oz
Her claim to fame:  born in the car!

The Birthing Story
While we were on vacation, Kelebek had her litter.  Murphy's Law, of course!  She whelped the first 5 pups outside overnight (not in her cozy whelping area in the barn).  They were discovered healthy and active the next day in the warm early morning sunshine, and were moved inside where we could watch them on live surveillance camera from the vacation houseboat.  My son, having agreed to oversee the whelping, was with her when pup 6 (a male) was whelped (but the next afternoon it passed of unknown causes), and pup 7 was born in my son's car on the way to the vet (hours after the last pup had been born).  My son was not happy about the mess on his leather seats, but he'll get over it.  He even texted me a picture of his car seat!  Later he texted that his car smelled like Lysol, lol!  All puppies are healthy, have nursed well from the start with no assistance, and Kelebek "Keli" has been a wonderful loving mother.
