4 weeks old and getting fast on those feet, this gal is still a butterball and the heavy-weight of the litter. She now weighs 7 lbs 9 oz. She is Miss Dominant and always gets the best food. When held tummy-up, she will relax after a moment, so not too bossy. She will let us give attention to the other puppies and will sometimes come and stand at our feet facing outward as if already guarding. She has also been observed doing border patrols in the barn already! One morning this week when I was milking, I noticed all the puppies curled up with mother and all were sleeping except this gal. She was watching me! So I was looking back and her and called her by her nickname, and she actually barked at me and got up, arousing all the other puppies and getting them on their feet as if to say, "What is it?"
6 lbs 8 oz is the weight for the female above with the 3 white spots on her shoulder. She and her brother are the most laid-back puppies in the litter, at this point. She loves attention, but is not usually one to come up and ask for it. She will wait until you come to her.
This white tip tail girl is 6 lbs 5 oz. She is neither dominant or submissive yet. She acts like she is very comfortable in her skin and is just a content puppy!
Okay, this girl might be the smallest in the litter at 4 lbs 12 oz, but she makes up for all of that and more with her spirit. She is a happy-go-lucky pup. She holds her own with all the siblings during rowdy play. She is of lighter-weight structure than the above puppies.
