Gandolf on Guard

Gandolf, owned by Guvener Isik and seen here guarding the animals at Shepherds Rest Farm, is the proud sire of the 8 puppies whose pictures most recently grace this blog.

Gandolf spends his days and nights protecting the goats . . .

and the chickens . . .

and his puppies (not shown here, but weaned now for several weeks) who are in an adjacent pen with some young goat kids. (The dam is off in another pasture guarding her own group of goats.)

The photographer is an 11-year-old, taking pictures from the puppy pen! Posted by Picasa

What Are You?

You don't look like a puppy.
You don't smell like a puppy.
You don't sound like a puppy.
Do you play like a puppy? Posted by Picasa

The Gang's All Here?

Eight Anatolians sitting in the shade . . .

One went off to explore this day . . .
Seven Anatolians basking in the heat . . .

One went off to accomplish some feat . . .
Six Anatolians waiting for their supper . . .
Have they all returned yet? Posted by Picasa

Puppy Talk

Boys and a buckling! What do you suppose they are saying to each other?!

Pups are now 5 weeks old and faster than a blink, especially when you are going through a gate.

Please focus on the puppy and pardon the "rear view!"

The girls were the hardest to capture in decent pictures . . . always flipping around backwards or other tactics to show they knew you wanted good pictures and wanted no part of it!
