ASD Puppies 3 Weeks Old

The puppies will be 4 weeks old on Friday. Their eyes are open, they are walking well, eating yal and some dry kibbles, and walking up to us for attention! The close-up of 3 pups is the picture of the female puppies. The close-up of 2 pups is the picture of the males. We lost one the day after he was born. There was a hole at the base of the umbilical cord leaking abdominal fluid, according to the vet. The abdomen was full of peritonitis. The rest of the puppies are healthy, active, and really getting around now! Both males are already spoken for.

Puppies Have Arrived!

Shepherds Rest Farm is happy to announce the arrival of a new litter of Anatolian Shepherd puppies. Born today, this litter of 6 includes 3 males and 3 females. These little guys grow fast and will be ready for new homes the end of June. For pictures and information on the parents of this litter Go here! The sire is Karabas Gandolf, a Turkish import owned by Guvener Isik. The dam is Shepherds Rest's own Gokkusagi's Sirin. Both parents are kaba Yoruks (long-haired Anatolians of the Yoruk sub-type). For more information on Yoruks Go here! To visit Guvener Isik's website, http://www.yorukanatolian.com, Go here! Also, stay-tuned for Isik's book on Anatolian Shepherd Dogs, which he has just translated from his book published in Turkish, soon to be published in English!
